Welcome, Matt!

We're thrilled to welcome our new associate director, Matthew Butt, to the Flood & Civil team!

Matt joins us with a wealth of experience in civil engineering, urban infrastructure development, SuDS and highways design. Matt is a technically excellent and impactful leader, having lead teams in multidiscipline consultancies working across a broad spectrum of sectors and projects from complex residential masterplans, public realm and mixed-use development.

Oliver and Matt have been close friends for some years now (almost ten!), having worked together twice before. As a fresh Graduate Matt was Oliver's designated 'buddy' and first mentor. He's still a mentor and has been an important line of support to bounce ideas off and ask for advice over the years, especially after Oliver emerged from the comfort of a team environment and started Flood & Civil in January last year.

Matt joins us off the back of a 5 year period developing a respected civil team from scratch and this experience will drive our potential for growth and ability to reach our goals. This marks an exciting new step in our evolution as an ambitious team with a shared vision for sustainable and resilient infrastructure and a drive to positively influence our built environment.
