Flood & Civil can produce full highway design packages for new highways and alterations to existing ones. Our experts complete the technical highways design, levels and drainage design, providing a complete package for technical approval on public realm schemes, residential and commercial developments. We have vast experience designing residential estate roads as well as larger highways.

A section 278 agreement is required where works are proposed to the existing public highway. A section 38 agreement is required where a new section of footpath or road is offered to the Local Authority for adoption. We can prepare design packages and submit applications for both S278 and S38 works. We will work with the Local Authority to tailor the design to their requirements and gain technical approval.
